Every Nation Operation VBS | Downtown Longmont, CO

On July 12-16, children ages 4 to 12 can attend a camp offered by Christ Church International at 527 Main Street in Longmont. The camp, Every Nation Operation, is an in-person vacation bible school that will run from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m. on all five days. Each day, children will have lessons on countries within one of Earth’s continents and learn about its corresponding people and culture.

HOPE Summer Sundown Series: Irish, Scottish, and Folk Performances | Downtown Longmont, CO

On Thursday, July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., there will be Irish, Scottish and Folk performances at 300 Suns Brewing at 335 1st Avenue in Longmont. 

Learn to Knit | Downtown Longmont, CO

On Thursday, July 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Longmont Yarn Shoppe at 454 Main Street, there will be a beginners knitting class. This class is for the brand new knitter! These fingerless gloves let you practice the basic stitches as well as learn a few finishing techniques. You’ll learn: Cast on, bind off, knit and purl, garter stitch, stockinette stitch, ribbing and mattress-stitch seaming.

The Soundpost Sessions - Pamela Machala | Downtown Longmont, CO

Yin Yoga for Summer, a specialty class | Downtown Longmont, CO

On Sunday, July 11, from 5 to 6 p.m., there will be a specialty Yin Yoga class held at Elevated Yoga Studio in Longmont. In traditional Chinese medicine, the energy of summer is represented in the Fire element. Yin yoga is complementary to this busy season, helping to really restore and balance our energy by encouraging us to turn inwards and towards stillness. Learn about what keeps planes in the sky, boats in the water, and cars on the road through experiments and projects. 

Summer Camp: Learn to Hand Sew! | Downtown Longmont, CO

From Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 16, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., children ages 7 to 14 can participate in Learn to Hand Sew! Camp at the Longmont Museum. Learn the basics of hand sewing and make your own projects with Julie Benoit from Maker General. Each camper will be supplied with a kit with all necessary supplies that is theirs to keep after the week is over. This camp is held online. Supply kits to use and keep will be available at the Museum for curbside pick-up. Multimedia waiver must be signed to participate.

Summer Camp: Theater Improv Camp | Downtown Longmont, CO

From Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., children ages 13 to 17 can participate in Theater Improv Camp at the Longmont Museum. "Whose Line is it Anyway?" made it mainstream, but improv theatre has been around for centuries. Since the 15th Century, Italian actors have been improvising and creating new works. Campers will learn improv basics and traditional games to help them throughout their theatre careers.

Summer Camp: Treasure Hunters | Downtown Longmont, CO 

From Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., children ages 5 to 7 can participate in Treasure Hunters Camp at the Longmont Museum. In this camp we will make, hide, and find treasures. Create your own treasure box and fill it with gems, jewelry, and coins you have made. Go on scavenger hunts and solve puzzles to find the next clues. Discoveries await you!

Open Mic with Denny Driscoll | Downtown Longmont, CO

Every Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bootstrap Brewing, there is an open mic night with Denny Driscoll. Come at 6 to sign up. Performers get a complimentary beer for their performance.

A Taste of History - a Sampling Tour of Historic Downtown | Downtown Longmont, CO

Celebrate Longmont's 150th anniversary by embarking on a sampling tour of Historic Downtown. Tour Longmont's famous and haunted (?) buildings and sample specialties from local eateries. This event is to celebrate Longmont's history makers; the ones who got Longmont's heart beating and those who are keeping it beating strong today. Advance purchase of tickets is required.
