The Holiday Show!

The Longmont Museum's holiday tradition is back in person! Join us for songs of the season and holiday cheer from some of the finest musicians and performers in the region, including the Rocky Mountain Ringers, the Boulder Klezmer Consort, and Hazel Miller and the Collective. 

The matinee performance on Saturday, Dec. 4 will be preceded by a special Santa reception with cookies and hot cocoa starting at 2 p.m. There will be a cash bar with a signature holiday drink for both the 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Holiday Show performances. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for students and seniors and $15 for Museum members. Purchase your tickets here.

$5 All You Can Play for Quarters Club Members

Quarters Bar and Arcade  "$5 All You Can Play" games for Quarters Club Members happens every Thursday! Come into Quarters from open to close and, for members, it’s all you can play. If you are not a Quarters Club Member, you can purchase a membership that day for $60 per year. 

Den Plays with Strangers at Bootstrap Brewing!

Come enjoy Denny Driscoll and friends making music every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bootstrap Brewing at 142 Pratt St.

Sci-fi movie night at Outworld Brewing

Sit back, relax and take in a sci-fi classic while enjoying dinner and drinks at Outworld Brewing on Dec. 3 starting at 6 p.m. There is no better way to spend a Friday evening. 

4th Annual 'Nog Off Eggnog Competition

Join Dry Land Distillers for the 4th annual 'Nog Off eggnog competition! Come in to the tasting room and purchase a flight of all six competing 'nogs and vote your favorites! The 2021 competition features guest chefs from around Longmont and Boulder County, including Farow Restaurant, 24 Carrot Bistro, Longs Peak Pub, Peachtree Farmstead - and, for the first time, a community entry from the Distilling Dames group. The competition begins Friday, Dec. 4 and runs through Dec. 11. The winner will be announced at our outdoor holiday market on Dec. 17 or 18. 

A Tuna Christmas at Longmont Theatre Company

A hilarious comedy about Christmas in the third-smallest town in Texas will come to Longmont Theatre Company this Christmas season. Two actors play all the crazy citizens of Tuna, Texas, as they prepare for the town's annual Christmas festivities including the hot competition in the annual lawn-display contest. A Tuna Christmas is a total delight for all seasons. Enjoy this laugh-filled evening!

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. At this time, masks and proof of vaccination are required for everyone entering the theatre. Please plan to arrive early.

Old Town Artisan Gift Fair

Visit the cozy Old Town Marketplace at 332 Main Street in Longmont all dressed up for the holidays on Dec. 3 or 4 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Meet the artists themselves who will be here featuring beautifully handmade art, jewelry, pottery, photography, art dolls, journals, warming skirts and much much more! Find that special unique thing for you or someone special! 

December 4

Winter Fiesta & Open House at Ollin Farms

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5, Ollin Farms is throwing a winter fiesta and open house! There will be hay-rides, kids activities, farmstands, community tables, 2022 CSA information and live music with Voltage 85, an awesome local youth band performing on Saturday and Danny Shafer on Sunday. At high noon on Sunday, there will also be a community square dance!

An evening with Wellington Bullings at Outworld Brewing 

Eat, drink and relax to the mesmerizing jazzy, smooth and soulful sounds of Wellington Bullings starting at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Outworld Brewing.  

Commemorative Ornament Giveaway - 150 Years of Downtown Longmont

Don't miss your chance to grab another limited edition commemorative ornament produced in Longmont by TinkerMill! Prohibition Repeal Day at Abbott & Wallace Distilling

Come one, come all, the Repeal of Prohibition Party is here at Abbott & Wallace Distilling starting at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4. At the event, there will be live music with Mojazz Trio from 6 to 8 p.m., a Bathtub Gin Bar and charcuterie, dice games and a costume contest and Speakeasy drink specials. Tyler Grant, Ace Engfer, Sean Macaulay - Free Pavilion Concert

Ready for some fun and music in the Colorado sunshine? Wibby Brewing is back for a trio concert outdoors in the pavilion on Dec. 4 from  2 to 4 p.m. Mountain Time. The show is free to attend! Rainbow Elders of Boulder County's 21st annual Lavender Gala

The 21st annual Lavender Gala will be held virtually again this year on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. This event is an online celebration for the LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, plus) older adult (50+) community of Boulder County. Participants can expect to mix and mingle in a breakout group trivia competition from 2 to 3 p.m. and dance to music with DJ Susie Pringle, in between interactive games from 3 to 4 p.m. Prizes and giveaways throughout. Come See Santa At St Nicks, Every Sunday Till Christmas

We have an awesome Santa that is ready to hear your every Christmas wish. Santa @ MECO Coffee Collective

Come and enjoy some local coffee and local retail therapy, bring the kids, grab a picture with The Man In Red and enjoy a Sunday family outing! Santa will be at MECO Coffee Collective at 627 Main Street in Longmont on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Seasonal Zentangle

We will be creating seasonal art cards using the Zentangle method at the Firehouse Art Center on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. You will be able to take home your creations! The event is for people ages 11 and up and it’s $50 for the 2 hour class. Materials will be provided. To register, please go up to the first section and sign up! "The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns (tangles). It is a proven method for mindfulness, fosters self-esteem, focus, relaxation, and stress reduction. And it's fun! People of all ages and skill levels around the world now create Zentangle Art," said founders Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas.

Monday Night Life Drawing Class

The Firehouse Art Center is proud to offer a socially distanced life drawing session coordinated with Art of Modeling for people 18 years and older on Monday nights from 6 to 8. The classes are short, sit-dry media only and while the Firehouse provides chairs and tables, it’s BYOB easels and supplies. In this two-hour session, poses vary from short gestures to 15 or 20 minute studies in an open-studio format. This is not an instructor-led class; artists are invited to practice their craft in their own style. All artists are responsible for cleaning their area after class. For distancing reasons, each person will need a separate table or must bring their own easel. No materials will be provided or shared. Space is limited so reserve a slot on eventbrite for $15 general admission and $12.00 discount pricing for Firehouse Artist members. Doors close 5 minutes after class starts and open 15 minutes before.

December 7 

Open Chess Night

Every Tuesday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. is Open Chess Night at the Longmont Public Library! We will have some tables set aside on the 2nd floor for playing with chess sets available. However, you may bring your own set. This event is open to all ages, but those 16 and younger must have an adult with them at all times. Evenings will be informal and there will be no instruction on how to play (we do have books on the subject)!

Symphony & Suds - LSO Fundraiser

Join us on Colorado Gives Day, Dec. 7, for an evening of holiday music, ugly sweaters, trivia and more benefitting Longmont Symphony Orchestra at 300 Suns Brewing! This event is free to attend. At the event, LSO "Brewery Band" musicians will play live holiday music and other favorites and $1 of every pint sold will go to Longmont Symphony Orchestra (LSO). With proof of a ticket purchased to a future symphony event or a donation to LSO, you can get $5 off a taster tray of 6 (4 oz.) beers and/or guest ciders. There will be wacky music trivia for shaming (tee hee) and bragging rights purposes, and an Ugly Sweater Contest winner where the 1st place winner will get 300 Suns merch and a 32 oz. can of 300 Suns beer with a logo coozie and the 2nd place winner will earn a free beer and pint glass. Winners of the Ugly Sweater Contest will be announced at 7 p.m.

Annual Winter Market Series at Wibby Brewing

Local artisans arrive at Wibby Brewing every  Wednesday from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. vending high-quality, affordable, hand-crafted gifts for dames, gents, kinder and hunde in the spirit of traditional European-style Christkindl markets! You will score from different vendors each night! Unique, one of a kind gifts include jewelry, woodworking, ceramics, hanging and pallet art, plants/cactai, scarves/hats, accessories, candles, wallets, soaps, decor, salsas and meats, signs, coasters, antiques for your she-shed, man-cave and more... our very own elves provide complimentary craft gift wrapping! Out Boulder County's Queer and Trans Youth Group

On Dec. 9, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Out Boulder County will hold a youth group for queer and trans individuals between ages 12- and 18-years-old in-person at the St. Vrain Community Hub.  

Short Films from the 2021 Boulder International Film Festival

Join us for the last of three evenings dedicated to short films from this year’s Boulder International Film Festival on Thursday, Dec. 9 from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. in Steward Auditorium at the Longmont Museum. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for students and seniors and $5 for Museum members. Purchase your tickets here.

Friday Afternoon Concert: Denver Brass5 "Christmas Time is Near"

Join the Denver Brass5 for a heartwarming holiday treat on Friday. Dec. 10 in Stewart Auditorium at the Longmont Museum starting at 2:30 p.m. Revel in the glorious sounds of the season and capture the feeling of Christmas magic! Goosebumps are guaranteed by Colorado’s most elegant and entertaining recital quintet as they bring inspiration and love to the season with their trademark Christmas arrangements and traditional carols. Longmont Lights - Friday Festival

Join us for a stroll around Roosevelt Park, lit up with thousands of holiday festival lights, during a walk in the park on Friday, Dec. 10, starting at 5 p.m. at 700 Longs Peak Ave. All events are outdoors, so dress for the weather. Enjoy hot cocoa carts, hot air balloon lights, ice sculptures, costumed characters, fire pits, Santa's workshop and visits with Santa, holiday concerts and a kids' train ride around the park. The night ends with a bang! Don't miss the fireworks show above the St. Vrain Memorial Building at 7:45pm!

Are you on the good list? Talk it over with Santa himself! He is seeing visitors in the Roosevelt Park Rose Garden during the Longmont Lights Festival starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10.  

Santa's Workshop

Santa's Head Elf needs some help in the North Pole Workshop! Visit the Santa's Workshop area in Roosevelt Park starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10 to build your toy and enjoy several craft booths provided by our generous elf partners. Longmont Lights - Saturday Lights Parade

Second Saturday Free Day at the Longmont Museum

Admission to all exhibits is free on the Second Saturday of each month at the Longmont Museum!  

Sci-fi murder mystery dinner theater at Outworld Brewing

TransGiving

It's been a difficult year for many members of our community, but there is still much to be thankful for including our strong Boulder County Trans community. Let's join together with our extended trans family for our Annual TransGiving meal on Sunday, Dec. 12 between 3 and 7 p.m. A scrumptious dinner will be catered at 4 p.m. Location will be announced soon, but parking will be available. As we will be eating indoors, all attendees are required to be vaccinated. This event is for trans-identified individuals only (includes nonbinary, binary, and gender expansive identities). Ages 18+ are welcome. Folks ages 16 or 17 may be allowed with guardian permission. This is a substance- and alcohol-free event! Thank you for respecting this. The Nutcracker

It’s the perfect holiday entertainment for children and adults alike!
