Longmont Police Report: July 17, 2018

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A Longmont resident in the 1100 block of Sherman Street reported an incident of vandalism to her vehicle. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

AUTO THEFT

A Longmont resident in the 2500 block of Sunset Drive reported a theft of her 50cc moped. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

THEFT

A report was submitted by a mandatory agency for theft from an At-Risk Elder. The case status is open and has been forwarded for follow up.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On July 16, 2018, the Longmont Police Department responded to a phone case involving a cold vehicle trespass in the 1400 block of Mount Evans Drive. This case is closed.

MENACING

On Monday 071618 at approximately 2209 hours, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 200 block of Maggie St. on a menacing. Case is open.

CHILD

On July 17th, 2018, Officers responded to the 1000 BLK of Red Oak Drive on report of a possible child abuse that occurred at unknown location or unknown time in the past few days. This case will be open for further investigation.

AUTO THEFT

On Tuesday, 07/17/18, a report was taken reference an aggravated motor vehicle theft and theft which occurred in the 1900 Blk. of Yeager Dr. The case is closed as suspects are unknown.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On July 17, 2018 a vehicle trespass report was received from the 1600 block of Adkinson Ave. An adult female reported her vehicle was entered and personal items stolen from inside. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

THEFT

On July 17, 2018 a theft report was received from the 200 block of Ken Pratt Blvd. The store manager reported an adult female entered the store and left with merchandise she didn't purchase. This case is open.

PROTECTION ORDER

On July 17, 2018 Officers arrested an adult male for violation of a protection order.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On July 17, 2018 a criminal mischief report was received from the 1200 block of Grandview Meadows Drive. An adult male reported damage to the structure of a pumpstation. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On Tuesday, 07/17/18, a report was taken reference a criminal trespass which occurred in the 2500 Blk. of Sunset Dr. The case is closed as suspects are unknown.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT

On 07/07/2018 Longmont Police responded to a suicidal party in the 1500 block of Chapman Dr. The male was taken into protective custody and transported to Longs Peak Hospital for a mental health hold. Case closed.

FRAUD

On Tuesday, 07/17/18, a report was taken reference an identity theft which did not occur in Longmont. The case is closed.

DRUG VIOLATION

On Tuesday, 07/17/2018, Longmont Police Officers Responded to the area of 15th Ave and Main St in reference to a narcotics violation. An adult male was contacted and later arrested without incident. Case Closed - Cleared by arrest.

FRAUD

An outside agency forwarded a report of identity theft to the Longmont Police Department for follow up. The case status is closed due to statute of limitations.

VICIOUS DOG

A Longmont woman was bitten in the 2100 block of Daley Drive while breaking up a dog fight. The dogs were placed on quarantine at home.

INJURY ACCIDENT

On Monday, July 16 2018, at approximately 1740 hours, officer of Longmont Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Main St for an injury accident. An adult male was issued a summons for not crossing in a cross walk. Case cleared by arrest.

HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT

On 7-17-18 at 0518 hrs., a maroon mini van driven by an unknown adult female struck the rear bumper of another vehicle at Ken Pratt Blvd and Main Street. Minor damage was incurred. The female did not remain on scene and was last seen north on Main. A plate for the run vehicle was not obtained and there are no leads. The matter is closed.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

A Longmont resident in the 1400 block of Coffman Street reported a theft from his vehicle. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

BURGLARY

On July 17, 2018 officers responded to the 100 block of S Martin St in regards to a burglary call to an unoccupied structure. Officers met with the building manager and found that nothing was missing, but property was damaged After investigation there are no suspects at this time. Case closed.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, the Longmont Police Department began investigating an adult male for failure to register as a sex offender. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at approximately 1619 hours, officers of the Longmont Police Department responded to 900 block of Kane Dr reference a protection order violation. An investigation was conducted. The case is still open.

PROTECTION ORDER

On 7/16/18, officers responded to the 500 block of Main St on the report of a possible harassment. An adult male was contacted and found to be in violation of a protection order. He was placed into custody. This case is cleared by arrest.

MISSING PERSON

On 7/17/18, officers took a report of a runaway from the 1400 block of S Collyer St. There are no unusual circumstances. This case is closed.
