Longmont Police Report: July 31, 2018

AUTO THEFT

A Wyoming resident reported his vehicle was stolen from the 3700 block of Fowler Lane, Longmont, CO. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

DUI

On 07/30/18 at approximately 2357 hrs. an adult male was arrested for DUI at 8th Ave. and Main St. The male was later released on a county summons.

DISTURBANCE

On Tuesday July 31, 2018, at approximately 0145 hours, officers were dispatched to a family disturbance in the 8000 block of Fox Hill Dr. One adult male was placed on a mental health hold and transported to the hospital. The case is closed.

FRAUD

On July 31, 2018 a theft report was received from the 400 block of Ken Pratt Blvd. An adult female reported her wallet was stolen and her credit card was used to make fraudulent purchases. Case is open.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On July 31, 2018 a criminal mischief report was received from the 400 block of Main Street. An adult female reported a light was damaged outside of her business. There is no suspect information. Case closed.

CRIM MISCHIEF IN PROGRESS

On July 31, 2018 a criminal mischief report was received from the 2000 block of Terry St. An adult female reported their office building was entered last night and part of the property was damage. There is no suspect information.Case closed.

SEX ASSAULT

On Tuesday, 7/31/18, Longmont Police received information from the Laramie Police (WY) regarding a sexual assault on a child which allegedly occurred in Longmont. Longmont PD will conduct the follow-up investigation.

BURGLARY

On Tuesday 07/31/18, Longmont Police responded to the 1300 block of Dry Creek Dr reference an attempted burglary. A report was taken, but there are is no suspect information and the case is closed.

THEFT

On July 31, 2018 a theft report was received from the 2500 block of Main Street. An adult female and male exited the store with merchandise they didn't purchase. Case is open.

WARRANT ARREST

On Tuesday, July 31st 2018, at 1705 hours, officers responded to the 500 Block of Lashley St on a welfare check. An adult male was arrested on a felony warrant out of Weld County. The case is cleared by arrest.

SEX ASSAULT

On 07/31/2018, Longmont Police took a report of a sexual assault at Union Reservoir that had occured on 07/14/2018. The investigation is still open.

WARRANT ARREST

On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at approximately 2018 hours, an adult posted bond on a misdemeanor warrant at the Longmont Police Department at 225 Kimbark Street. He was released with a new court date. The case is cleared by arrest.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

On Sunday, 07/29/2018 at about 926 AM, an Officer with the Longmont Police Department took a report of theft from two unlocked vehicles sometime the night prior in the 900 block of Yucca Ct. There are no suspects at this time. Case closed.

SEX ASSAULT

On Monday 07/30/2018 at about 1:36 PM Officers responded to the 2700 block of Copper Peak Lane on a report of concerns about an at risk adult. Report taken for informational purposes only. Case closed.

FRAUD

A Longmont resident in the 1200 block of Milner Lane reported a theft of money via a telephone scam. The case status is open and has been forwarded to Detectives for further investigation.

SEX ASSAULT

On 07/31/2018, at approximately 1553 hours, Longmont Police Responded to the area of 2000 Sunset Way, an address in the City of Longmont, County of Boulder, and State of Colorado reference an alleged sex assault call for service. One adult female was contacted and after a detailed investigation a report was taken. With no probable cause to believe a crime occurred, the case will be closed.

BURGLARY

A Longmont resident in the 1400 block of Morningside Drive reported a theft from his open attached garage. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

VICIOUS DOG

A juvenile male was bitten by a loose dog in the 1400 block of South Collyer Street. The dog was contained and placed on quarantine. The owner was issued a summons.

WELFARE CHECK

On July 30, 2018, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Red Mountain Drive on a welfare check. An adult female was taken into protective custody after making suicidal statements. This case is closed.

DRUG VIOLATION

On 073118 the Longmont Police Department responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Cornell Drive. An 18 year old male and a 16 year old male were in the vehicle consuming marijuana. Both males were referred to LCJP and released to the parents of the 16 year old. Case exceptionally cleared.

SEX ASSAULT

On Tuesday 07/31/2018 at 0812 hours a Longmont Police Officer investigated a reported sexual assault and domestic violence which took place in the 1000 block of South Coffman Street in the city of Longmont in May of 2017. This case is open and referred to the Longmont Police Department Detective Division.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, Longmont Police took a report of a protection order violation in the 1200 block of Monarch Dr. An adult male is suspect. Case Open.

DUI

On July 31, 2018 Longmont Police investigated a DUI in the 1200 blk of S Hover St. One adult female was arrested for DUI related charges and was later released to a sober party.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at approximately 1856 hours, Longmont Police responded to the 300 block of Quail Rd in reference to a possible protection order violation. This case is open pending further investigation.

TRESPASS

On 07/31/2018, at approximately 2113 hours, Longmont Police responded to the 800 block of Ken Pratt Blvd, to an address in the City of Longmont, County of Boulder, and State of Colorado reference a trespassing call for service. One adult female and one adult male were

contacted. One adult male was arrested without incident for violation of protection order. Case cleared by arrest.
