Longmont Police Report: May 2, 2018

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS

A Longmont resident in the 1500 block of Gifford Drive reported a theft from her unlocked vehicle. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

BURGLARY

A Longmont resident in the 5800 block of Westerly Place reported a theft and illegal entry from his open garage. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT

On May 2, 2018, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Stroh Place on a suicide attempt. An adult male was transported to the hospital and placed on a mental health hold. This case is closed.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Friday, April 27 2018, Longmont Police responded to the 1800 block of 12th Ave in reference to a report of criminal mischief. A 40 year old male reported 2 unknown age juvenile females, and two unknown age juvenile males damaged his property. The case is closed.

PROTECTION ORDER

On Saturday, 04/29/2018, Longmont Police Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East 8th Ave on a report of protection order violation. An adult male was arrested. This case was cleared by arrest.

FRAUD

On May 1, 2018, Longmont officers took a report of a Forgery in the 1100 block of Main Street. An adult male used fake $20 bills to buy items from a business. A suspect has been identified and the case is open and under investigation.

CHILD

On Tuesday, 05/01/18 at approximately 2123 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to call a party in regards to a harassment claim. An informational report was taken in regards to child welfare issues. Case is closed.

DEATH

On Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 2109 hours, Longmont Police responded to a medical call in the 4000 block of San Marco Dr. A 59-year-old male was found deceased. This case is open and has been forwarded to the Detective Division for additional follow up.

DUI

On Tuesday, 05/01/18 at approximately 2238 hours, Longmont Police conducted a traffic stop on 17th Ave near Sumner St. An adult male was arrested for three active warrants and another adult male was arrested for DUI and other charges. Case cleared by arrest.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT

On 050218 the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Warren Avenue on a suicidal party. A 67 year old male attempted suicide, was transported to the hospital, and placed on a mental health hold. Case closed.

OTHER AGENCY ASSIST

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at approximately 0923 Longmont Police conducted a joint investigation with Boulder County Housing and Human Services into allegations of unlawful sexual contact with a juvenile by an adult family member that occurred within the City of Longmont. This case is open and pending further investigation.

VICIOUS DOG

On Sunday, 04/29/18, a man's dog was attacked by another dog in the 4500 block of Redmond. The investigation is continuing.

SEX ASSAULT

On Wednesday 05/02/2018 at 1122 hours a Longmont Police Officer took a report in regards to a sexual assault on a child which took place at an unknown location in Longmont in 2007. This case is open and referred to the Longmont Police Detective Division for follow up.

WELFARE CHECK

On 05/01/2018 (Tuesday) at approximately 1404 hours Officers were contacted by Mental Health Partners to assist with a mentally ill subject. Who had taken a cell phone from an individual. The case is Cleared Exceptionally.

DOMESTIC INCIDENT

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 officers contacted a female in regards to a domestic violence call the day before. An adult male was later arrested. Cleared adult arrest.

HARASSMENT

On Wednesday, 05/02/2018 at approximately 1530 hours, Officers of the Longmont Police Department took a report of a possible harassment in the 100 block of Longs Peak Ave. This case is unfounded.

DEATH

On April 2, 2018, Longmont Police responded to the 2500 block of Sunset Dr on the report of a deceased person. An adult male was found to be deceased. This case is open.

WARRANT ARREST

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at approximately 1543 hours, an adult male was arrested in the 200 block of E 8th Avenue on three outstanding warrants. The case is cleared by arrest.
