Written in collaboration with Sergio Angeles: On Saturday, July 28, Longtucky Spirits is hosting its first "fancy party," the Summer Soiree, from 7-11 p.m. at 350 Terry St., #120.

The event is a "classy cocktail party with some classy jazz music," states John Young,  co-founder and general manager of Longtucky Spirits. Participants are asked to dress in cocktail attire.

Live Jazz music by Dirty Duo will begin at 7 p.m.

The Summer Soiree is a celebration of the release of Longtucky's Amaro Arancia, a bitter orange liqueur. "The Amaro is really our first cordial expression, and Longtucky will really be able to step our cocktail game up," says Young.

When asked why an orange liqueur, Young responded, "because we're from Florida. Some of the best oranges in the world come from Florida and we want to provide a little taste of home. We're also inspired by the Italian aperitifs Campari and Aperol."

The Summer Soiree will include classy cocktails, general shenanigans and Bathtub Gin. "Can't get any more classy than a bathtub Gin bar," states Young.
