A 37-year-old man was flown to a Denver hospital after he was hit by an automobile about 6 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Ken Pratt Boulevard, according to a Longmont Police news release.

The name of the man, a transient, was not released. Preliminary information suggests he was intoxicated, wearing dark clothing and was improperly crossing the road, all of which may have contributed to him being hit, according to the release.

The 32-year-old driver, a Johnstown resident, remained on the scene of the accident and has cooperated with the investigation, the news release stated.

Vehicle speed and driver intoxication do not appear to be contributing factors in the crash, according to the release.
