The Medicare Open Enrollment period spans from October 15 - December 7. Boulder County offers Medicare counseling for those seeking free, individualized assistance determining which Medicare enrollment plan is best for you. They help you look at your Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan and Medicare Advantage Plan to help you choose the one that is most affordable to you.

In addition to helping with open enrollment, Boulder County also offers classes on the basics of Medicare. Longmont classes will be offered on November 27 and December 17 at the Longmont Senior Center, located at 910 Longs Peak Ave. from 10 a.m. to noon.

Registration is required for these classes and can be accomplished by calling 303-651-8411.

Boulder County, partners awarded 20 vouchers for permanently affordable housing to serve people facing homelessness

Boulder County, the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, the Inn Between of Longmont, and Mental Health Partners have received 20 vouchers through Colorado’s Department of Local Affairs to help provide permanent supportive housing for people facing homelessness in the community. The housing vouchers have an equivalent value of up to $1 million over four years. Read more.
