The City of Longmont wants residents to know that South Pratt Parkway between Delaware and Boston will be closed overnight to traffic including vehicular, bicycle or pedestrian, on both Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1.

Overnight road closures are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. both Wednesday and Thursday.

This road closure is to accommodate the delivery and installation of girders for the South Pratt Parkway Bridge replacement project. The bridge is undergoing construction in order to widen the roadway to allow for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Detours will be assigned on both Delaware and Boston, however, the city encourages travelers to use South Main Street as an alternative route.

According to the City of Longmont, "Parklane Avenue and Fairlane Avenue will not be accessible from South Pratt Parkway during these full road closures. Park Manor residents will need to use Parklane from Delaware east of South Pratt Parkway to access their homes."

No parking zones along Boston between South Pratt Parkway and South Coffman Street will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 30 until 5 a.m. on Friday, November 2. These areas are needed for the truck parking while they are waiting to unload girders on Wednesday night.

For more information about the bridge replacement project, visit bit.ly/pratt-bridge, email [email protected], or call 303-219-7474.
