Longmont Museum is wrapping up its fall semester of Discovery Days with Ornament and Decoration crafts during this coming week.

Youngsters will get the chance to create a Christmas craft from Dec. 12 to 16.

Discovery Days will then be on winter break from Dec. 17 to Jan. 15, the museum said in a news release.

While on break, the museum will have a fun family activity going on in January involving exploring Lego activities – for free.

The museum is trying out some activities for its summer exhibit "Build: Design and Create with Lego!" and needs your help.

Groups of all ages are invited to attend a free program where they get to be the first to explore activities that may be in our new exhibit and help improve them for the show.

Sessions will be on Thursday, Jan. 4 and Friday, Jan. 5.

Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Register here in advance (for free!) so that they know how many people are coming.

Discovery Days are for children aged 2 to 6 accompanied by an adult caregiver. Fees are per person entering the classroom from ages 2 and up: $2.25 per person for members and $2.50 per person for non-members.

Tuesdays after Music and Movement sessions while Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays offer art sessions.

There are three sessions to choose from each day, Tuesday through Saturday: 9:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Attend a session that suits your schedule, no registration needed.
