There will be no formal Longmont City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 20, 2018; however, since Longmont City Council "requested a staff presentation on transportation impacts and responsibilities by the development community," a transportation pre-session meeting will be occurring.

It will be held in the study session room starting at 5:30 p.m.

According to city council communication, "the City’s transportation staff will provide details of how new developments are reviewed for traffic impacts by the City and what elements of the surrounding transportation system are the responsibility of developers."

Topics in the pre-session include Envision Longmont (comprehensive plan for the City), Longmont Roadway Plan (future needs for Longmont streets), Longmont Traffic Volume/Counts (actual count data for Longmont streets), Longmont Design Standards & Construction Specifications (i.e. street cross sections, criteria for traffic impact studies, etc.), 2018 Operating Budget (performance measures), and the 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Program.
