Longmont City Council will be attending an executive session prior to tonight's city council meeting.

According to the document published on the City of Longmont's city council meeting agendas portal, the executive session was requested by the City Manager, Harold Dominguez, and the City Attorney, Eugene Mai, to discuss "the Top Operating Co. master contract and associated operational and regulatory issues and City mineral and other property interests related to oil and gas development."

They also plan to "receive legal advice, determine negotiation positions and strategies, instruct negotiators, and consider confidential documents re same."

Executive sessions are closed to the public and topics discussed are limited per the Colorado Open Meetings Law. No formal action is taken during these sessions.
