Police Report: June 8, 2017

Fraud

A Longmont resident in the 600 block of Clarendon Drive reported his identity was used to open an account in Florida. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information and jurisdictional issues.

A Longmont resident in the 1100 block of Fall River Circle report an incident of forgery. The case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

A Berthoud resident reported an incident of forgery and theft that occurred at a bank in the 1000 block of South Hover Street in Longmont. The suspect is known, and the case remains open pending additional follow-up.

Theft

A Longmont resident reported his skateboard was stolen from the 4500 block of Portofino Drive. The case status will be open and forwarded for follow up.

A Longmont resident in the 1000 block of Venice Street reported the theft of her cell phone by a known suspect. The case remains open pending additional follow-up.

Criminal Mischief

On Thursday June 8, 2017, at 9:18pm, Longmont Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of Tulip St. on a domestic related disturbance. The case is open.

Attempt to Locate

Longmont Police and Boulder Sheriff's Deputies attempted to locate and arrest a wanted fugitive at 9th Ave and Martin St. The suspect was believed to be possibly armed with a gun and barricaded inside the home so the SWAT Team was activated. A search warrant was obtained and police used various methods to try to force the suspect to exit, including chemical munitions. Eventually the trailer was searched and the suspect was not located.

Shoplift

An employee of a Longmont business in the 200 block of Ken Pratt Boulevard reported a theft of merchandise. Suspect information was obtained, and the case remains open pending additional follow-up.

Found Property

On Wednesday, June 7, 2017, the Longmont Police investigated a vehicular burglary. There were no known suspects. despite video footage of the burglary the suspect was still unknown. The case is closed.

Warrant Arrest

On Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at approximately 11pm, the Longmont Police Department contacted a wanted party in the 1700 block of Linden St. She was arrested on three outstanding warrants without incident. Case cleared by arrest.

The Longmont Police Department arrested a subject in north east Longmont on an outstanding warrant. Cleared by arrest.

On Thursday June 8, 2017, the Longmont Police Department arrested an adult male on an outstanding warrant. The male was released on the bond.

Drug Violation

On Thursday June 8, 2017, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Tulip St. The male driver was found to be in possession of a concealed firearm, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. The male was arrested, booked, and transported to the Boulder County Jail.

Other Agency Assist

On Thursday June 8, 2017, Longmont Police responded to the 300 block of Southridge Pl., reference a follow-up to a theft that occurred in Lafayette, CO. Officers recovered a lost/stolen item from the location, and returned it to the rightful owner.

Welfare Check

On Thursday June 8, 2017 at approximately 12:40pm, Officers responded to the 2000 block of Sunset Way in Longmont Colorado for the report of a Welfare Check. This case is closed.

Death

On Thursday June 8, 2017, the Longmont Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Morning Dove Dr on a death investigation. An elderly female had died of natural causes and the case will be closed.
