Residents are being asked to take a survey on plans to start a rental housing licensing and rental housing inspection program in Longmont.
The proposal includes licensing and inspecting rental homes that are attached and at least eight years old, every two years, by code enforcement employees, according to a city news release. The city estimates the program could cost $300,000.
The survey will be used to help develop the program and will be shared with the Longmont City Council. Survey responses can be anonymous but participants can share opinions with focus groups, interviews and group discussions, the news release states.
The survey includes 12 questions and will be available through Aug. 15.
