Update: The relocation of an existing water line and sanitary sewer main will close Francis Street July 22-23. The road will open again for the weekend and then close the remainder of next week, July 26-30.
Longmonters traveling along Francis Street between Boston Avenue and River Road will need to follow an alternative route Thursday through Sunday.
Francis Street will be closed for a four-day period while Duran Excavating installs some street infrastructure in the area. Limited access will be permitted via Price Road but otherwise, the street will be closed to traffic.
