This morning the City experienced a water main break in the 1700 block of Hover Street that affects approximately 23 customers. Operations and Maintenance crews are onsite making repairs and will remain onsite until repairs are completed. The work is expected to continue into late afternoon or early evening.
This work is affecting traffic on southbound Hover between Wedgewood and 17th avenues. The right lane of southbound Hover is closed just south of Wedgewood Avenue to 17th Avenue. This closure will last through the repairs.
Throughout this process, the water remains safe to use. Once service is restored, customers affected by the outage may see some sediment in their water stirred up when the water main is flushed. Customers can run cold water from taps for a few minutes until the water clears.
