The St. Vrain Valley School District has canceled all after-school activities today due to deteriorating road conditions.
Weather reports expect snow and freezing drizzle to continue through 8 p.m. tonight, further impacting safe travel on the roads.
The district has canceled all athletic practices, home and away games, extracurricular activities and all school and community events.
The cancellation also includes the Community Schools and Wraparound childcare programs. Parents who utilize these programs are encouraged to pick their students up from school.
Recognizing the impact this will have on parents the district "will keep only the Community Schools programs open until all students are able to be picked up," according to a statement on SVVSD's website
