According to a presentation by Brian Lamer, it has been 20 months since the 2016 Bond was passed. In that time, $169,000,000 has been spent completing projects which include the addition of 335,000 square feet of new building with 173 new classrooms.
Over the summer, the project management team lost four key members, one of whom passed away.
The district has worked with eight different design firms and nine different contractors to complete the projects so far.
Thus far, the projects that have been completed include:
- Niwot Elementary security and parking improvements
- Blue Mountain Elementary addition/renovation
- Eagle Crest Elementary addition/renovation
- Mead High School addition/renovation
- Erie High School addition/renovation
- Innovation Center
- Flagstaff renovation
- Carbon Valley
- Twin Peaks
- Aspen Ridge design for addition is ongoing
- Erie Middle School track replacement
- Niwot High School-construction expected to be completed in 2019
- Silver Creek High addition/renovation
- Lyons Elementary addition/renovation
- CDC renovation-constructed expected to be completed in 2019
- Fall River Elementary addition/renovation
- Alpine Elementary addition/renovation
- Legacy Elementary renovation
- Prairie Ridge Elementary renovation
- District-wide elementary cameras installation
The following projects are expected to begin in the Fall of 2018:
- Niwot High School-construction expected to be completed in 2019
- Longmont High School addition/renovation
- Black Rock Elementary addition/renovation
- CDC renovation-construction complete
- Skyline High School addition/renovation
- Main Street School addition/renovation
- Mead Middle School addition/renovation

- Finish district-wide elementary camera installation

School Board member, Dr. Richard Martyr stated, "I just wanted to acknowledge the quality of the work that your whole team has been doing and as we discussed this morning, when you visit the sites and the new classrooms and in particular the new buildings, it is clear that they are designed with the students in mind and the teachers in mind," when addressing Lamer during the question portion of the presentation.
