The city is looking for citizens to serve on public boards

Vacancies are filled twice a year

The city of Longmont is looking for registered voters who live in Longmont to serve on its city boards and commissions.

The city has 22 citizen-based boards, committees and commissions that allow 170 citizens serve. 

Twice a year the city opens its recruitment process to fill vacancies. The deadline to apply is April 21 by 5 p.m. The Longmont City Council will interview candidates on June 17.

The boards, committees and commissions with vacancies include:

Historic Preservation Commission

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

Board of Adjustment and Appeals

Sustainability Advisory Board

Callahan House Board

General Employees’ Retirement Plan Board

Golf Advisory Board

Library Advisory Board

Master Board of Appeals

MOPC (Money Accumulation Pension Plan for general employees)
