Holiday Tree Lighting on Main Street
The Tree Lighting Ceremony is back on Friday, November 26 at 6:30 pm in 6th Avenue Plaza (west side of 6th Ave. & Main St.). Join us for Giveaway Bags, Holiday Music, A Capella Performances, Hot Drinks & Treats, Craft Activities, and Santa! 

Small Business Saturday in Downtown Longmont
The biggest and best shopping day of the year will feature ice carvings in St. Stephen's Plaza, roaming holiday characters, and surprise giveaways for downtown shoppers on Small Business Saturday, November 27. Downtown Longmont is THE destination for Small Business Saturday, and for your holiday shopping needs. When you shop small and keep purchases local, you're not only getting a unique product from a local small business, you're making an investment in your community. 

The Longmont Museum Holiday Show!
The Longmont Museum’s holiday tradition is back in person on Saturday, Dec. 4! Join us for songs of the season and holiday cheer from some of the finest musicians and performers in the region, including the Rocky Mountain Ringers, the Boulder Klezmer Consort, and Hazel Miller & the Collective. A special Santa reception with cookies and hot cocoa starts at 2 pm with the matinee performance at 3 pm; or come for the evening concert-only show time at 7 pm. ‘Visionary Longmont’ at the Museum
Join us for a lively conversation starting at 7:15 pm on Thursday, Dec. 2, with author Paula Fitzgerald, historian Erik Mason, and Longmont’s Deputy City Manager Dale Rademacher on the past, present, and future of Longmont, from water, electricity, and parks to NextLight and beyond. Paula Fitzgerald and Erik Mason will sign copies of their books, “Stories of Our Longmont Parks” and “Longmont: The First 150 Years,” immediately following the program. Register for Winter/Spring Rec Activities
Don’t let the winter blues set in: keep busy and active! Recreation Services 2022 winter/spring activities brochure can be viewed online now at LongmontColorado.gov/rec. Registration begins on Tuesday, Nov. 30. Printed copies will be mailed to Longmont residents the week of Dec. 6. Chess Nights begin in December at Library
Checkmate! Reading “The Queen’s Gambit” isn’t the only way to enjoy chess at the Longmont Public Library; starting on Tuesday, Dec. 7, the Library will be hosting Open Chess Nights. From 6-7:30 pm every Tuesday night, patrons ages 16 and older can try to pull a Fool’s Mate or Dutch Defense on each other during informal games on the 2nd floor of the Library, 409 4th Ave. Tables will be set up starting at 6 p.m. and games will need to complete by 8 pm for the closing of the Library. Those 16 and younger can participate in the games; however, an adult must be always with them. Longmont Youth Center Pop-ups
Join your favorite Youth Center staff at pop-up locations from 3:30-5:30 pm on Tuesdays in November and December! Pop-ups bring Longmont Youth Center activities for middle- and high-school aged students to neighborhood and community parks. Activities will include a variety of crafts and sports, food, team-building exercises and opportunities to develop life and social skills. Feedback Requested on Hwy 287 Corridor
Boulder County is excited to continue planning on the US 287 Bus Rapid Transit Feasibility Study to evaluate safety, transit, bike, and pedestrian improvements on US 287. Join county staff during an online public meeting from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2. Learn about the evaluation of alternative improvements, provide your thoughts on recommendations, and have an opportunity to ask the project team questions.
