Around 11:45 a.m. today two motorcyles collided with a left-turning SUV at the Main St. and Hwy 66 intersection.

The motorcylists, operated by a 60-year-old man from Erie and a 28-year-old man from Berthoud, were headed north on Main St. A 77-year-old woman from Loveland was southbound but making a left turn at the intersection, states a news release from Longmont Public Safety, Sunday evening.

The SUV turned in front of the motorcycles causing the three vehicles to collide. All parties sustained injuries from the collision and were taken to a nearby hospital, the news releases stated.

The 60-year-old male suffered "serious bodily injury" and was flown to "a metro area hospital for further treatment," according to the news release.

While the case is still under investigation, the news release stated that police believe "alcohol/drugs and speed do not appear to be contributing factors."
