Work on the Water Line Replacement Program will continue through late October. The project is currently working on lines on Coffman Stree from First to Third avenues.

The immediate section under replacement is on Coffman Street between Second and Third avenues. This work is expected to begin on Aug. 22 and run through late September. The project will then move along Coffman Street between First and Second avenues and is expected to be completed by late October.

While the project is in progress, traffic along this section of Coffman Street will be reduced to northbound traffic only. Southbound traffic will be closed and detours will be in place during work hours, which are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Both directions of the roadway will reopen during non-work hours.

On Aug. 26, beginning at noon, several roads near Fourth Avenue and Kimbark Street will be closed for the Unity in the Community event. This will include Fourth Avenue from Main Street to Emery Street, and approximately 125 feet north and 250 feet south of Fourth Avenue along Kimbark Street.

Detours for vehicle and bike traffic will be in place.
