UCHealth aims to help Colorado become the healthiest state in the United States once again. Through a partnership with National Fitness Campaign, or NFC, UCHealth will provide grants for outdoor Fitness Courts to ten municipalities, schools and other organizations to make living a healthier lifestyle more accessible

“Living an active lifestyle is so important for everyone’s health and well-being,” said Manny Rodriguez, UCHealth’s chief marketing, experience and innovation officer. “It is well documented that regular exercise can help ward off illness, manage chronic health conditions and improve mental health.”

UCHealth’s partnership with NFC is an attempt at encouraging Coloradans to become stronger and healthier through its state-wide, Ready. Set. Co initiative.

“We are excited to be part of UCHealth’s Ready. Set. CO initiative, as the campaign will deliver tremendous resources to build a wellness culture across the state and improve quality of life as the network of Fitness Courts grows,” said Founder of NFC, Mitch Menage.

Digital coaching on the Fitness Court App is available for adults of all athletic levels and ages to facilitate daily movement. The app features seven different workouts that can be completed on the Fitness Courts.

A pilot site in Loveland was launched in 2019 and a site in Highlands Ranch was launched in 2022. Both are available and free for public use.

Grant applications are now open to organizations, schools, and municipalities in order to receive educational tools and resources needed to build a Fitness Court.
