Arlene Corbin, age 85 of Mesa, Arizona gained her heavenly reward on Friday, October 22, 2021. Arlene was born on March 20, 1936, the daughter of Orris Bert Brookshier and Adeliah “Bob” (Hilt) Brookshier in Sampsel, Missouri. Her early years were spent mostly on the farm with her parents in Missouri. She helped her parents on the farm and even rose early to go out delivering milk with her dad. After the birth of her little sister, Shirley, she took over much of her care. She was part of this working farm family until she graduated from Jamesport High School.

On May 21, 1955, she married Clarence Dewayne Corbin and enjoyed 54 years of marriage living in Missouri, California, Colorado, and Arizona. Arlene is survived by her three children: Steven D. Corbin of Rogersville, MO, Shelly Harriger (Edward) of Box Elder, SD and Sharla Hampton (Kristopher) of Mesa, AZ. They also have two granddaughters; Michelle and Trinity, one grandson; Corbin, two step-grandchildren; Karen and Grant, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and her sister; Shirley (Louie) Liebenow.

Arlene is preceded in death by her husband Dewayne, her parents, and her brother, Delbert Brookshier.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church, 1895 E. Egbert Street, Brighton, CO with Pastor Bart Janz officiating. Burial was held at Rest Haven Memory Gardens in Ft. Collins, CO.

Arlene and Dewayne spent many years in the Church of the Nazarene as board members, teachers, and helped build three churches. Arlene moved to Brighton, Colorado to be with her daughter Shelly and became a member of Rocky Mountain Baptist Church in her later years.

Arlene was loved by all who knew her. She was a good and generous woman who loved God, her family, and friends. She was always available for any young person who needed her help, to the extent of having three young men live with them when they needed a place to stay.

Arlene retired from AT&T as a Manager of Operator Services after working there 25 years. She then went on to sell Real Estate in the Kansas City area in Missouri until they moved to Loveland, Colorado where she started working for Weberg Furniture. This started her next career of furniture sales which she enjoyed and excelled at until she retired in Arizona.
