JUNE 23, 1970 – APRIL 22, 2024

Douglas "Doug" Robert Beers, 53, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 533 Grant Ave, Loveland, CO. A private inurnment will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations are encourage to MD Anderson Cancer Center at P.O.Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486.

Doug is survived by his beloved daughter, Taylor Beers of Wellington, CO; parents Robert "Bob" and Lois Beers of Windsor: and his sisters Shawna Easter (Travis) of Midlothian, TX and Shannon Beers of Fort Collins. Also surviving are his aunts, Nadine Seibert (Ron) of Coshocton, OH and Pattii Smythe of Zanesville, OH; uncle Donald Beers (Betty) of Nashport, OH; and his girlfriend, Jen Shaw of Bennett, CO; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Colin Horwitz; his maternal grandparents, Clyde W. Pritchard, Gladys (King) Pritchard Jenkins, and step-grandfather; Arthur Jenkins; his paternal grandparents, Leland and Ruth Beers; and an uncle, Larry Pritchard.

Doug was born June 23, 1970 at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, CO and was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School in San Diego, CA. He was a faithful fan of the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Eagles. He was passionate about NASCAR and enjoyed coaching and encouraging his daughter with her desire to participate in Jr. Drag and Bandolero racing. Whatever the results were, he was so proud of her accomplishments. He loved Taylor dearly. Doug and Bob enjoyed Dwarf car racing together. They raced in Colorado, Nevada and California. Doug was very mechanical and loved everything that involved cars. Doug never met a stranger and was a friend to many.
