Beulah Darlene Andersen, 84, a resident of Loveland, died peacefully on Sunday May 14, 2023. Daughter of Walter John and Hazel Marie (Barnhouse) Grove, she was born on a snowy night on New Year’s Eve, 1938, in her family home in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She grew up in a large farm family with 16 brothers and sisters. She rode a horse to country school and loved to play basketball. She was an all-state guard in girls six-on-six high school basketball. She worked at the Agricultural Soil and Conservation Service after high school. She learned how to read farm maps and found great deals for farmers.

Beulah met Leland Andersen on a blind date and they married on June 3, 1962. They moved to Loveland in 1977 where they finished raising their three boys and enjoyed the Colorado outdoors. There were many days of driving and hiking in the mountains and having picnics. Beulah loved to crochet and would make hotpads and dishcloths for family and friends. She also enjoyed making baby blankets for all her grandchildren. She loved keeping her family connected and would annually update a family contact list that consisted of hundreds of family members. Beulah accepted the Lord as her savior in her early 20s. She was a devout Christian and loved to study the Bible and hear God’s word. Beulah loved children and ran the nursery at Front Range Baptist Church for many years.

She is survived by her children, Anthony Andersen and his wife Julie of Aurora, Timothy Andersen and his wife Jamie of Woodland Park, and Matthew Andersen of Highlands Ranch. She was the beloved grandmother of Gunnar, Logan, Mason, and Clare. She was a dear sister to 7 brothers and 9 sisters and is survived by Beverly Bowman, Dale Grove and his wife Dorothy, Patty McCool and her husband Gary, Janice Grove, and many nieces and nephews.
