It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carron Evans at the age of 81. She was a wonderful person with an incredible sense of humor and a passionate personality.

Carron Joyce Ludington was born in St Paul NE in 1942.  She was the youngest of her four siblings, Dean, Dale and Vonna. She met and married Ron Evans in October of 1965, and they were married for 55 years.  She had four children: Roni, Lori, Darrin and Kelli.  They later opened their hearts and home to Jeremy.  She had an open heart and came to be a favorite among all of her children's friends. Her grandchildren: Mathew, Dallas, Drevin, Domnic, Odin, Loki and Gus were the sun to her.  Her great grandchildren: Abbie, Logan, Darren, Asher and Koen were the moon.  She was just getting started spoiling them. She had countless nieces and nephews who to this day refer to her as their favorite aunt.

In her youth she experimented with several different creative professions. She made live tv commercials for a variety of products, telephone operator, waitress and bartender.  After her children were born she became the owner operator of the Craft Emporium in Olathe KS. She taught art classes at her store and inspired young minds with her happy infectious attitude and smile. She was a campfire leader for her daughters, teaching outdoor adventures and arts and crafts. She helped coach her daughter's softball team. She was so proud to be a mother.

With her husband they built a cabin in the mountains. She wanted to make sure that her children and grandchildren would always have a place to gather and connect with each other and nature.  She worked hard to make it welcoming and warm for all.

After the children got older she picked her passion for art back up and created wonderful and creative artworks.  A wildlife reserve asked her to paint murals on all of their water trucks.  Her grandkids got themed murals on all of the walls of their bedrooms, she was even known to paint murals on some bathroom walls.  She traveled the country in an RV for several years with Ron. Seeing the country and having more adventures.

She was a loyal friend and a fierce card player. She was not happy when she didn’t win.  She would gather rocks around her apartment building and paint funny or pretty pictures on them. Then she would scatter them back out in the planting beds for her friends and neighbors to find. For a  while no one knew where the painted rocks were coming from. Carron just played along because she loved seeing her friends happy and intrigued. She was passionate about causes and could inspire others to help her change the situations. She was a force to be reckoned with when she put her mind to something. If one way wouldn't work she would find a loophole or another path that would get her to the place she wanted to be.

Her passion and humor will be missed in this world.  Towards the end of her life she stated that she would be leaving with a smile on her face and a laugh in her heart. She loved with her whole heart and being, that has left us all missing her and thanking her for the light she brought into our lives.
