February 26, 1955 - November 14, 2023

Patricia Ann Gaona, 68, of Loveland passed from this life to Christ on November 14, 2023. She was born Patricia (Patty) Ann Fisher on February 26, 1955 in Pittsburgh, PA to George Thomas Fisher and Willanette Dolores Daley. Patty was just in elementary school when her mother passed away. Patty’s father, who had long been hospitalized, was unable to take care of his family. Patty and her siblings were subsequently separated, and Patty grew up in Colorado, away from her brothers and sisters. Though Patty endured a more difficult childhood than most, her Pittsburg steel made her strong and stubborn, and her God-given optimism made her indomitable.

After graduating from Loveland High School, she began working at Hewlett-Packard where she started on the manufacturing line and eventually became an administrative assistant until she left the company in 2002. While working at HP, she obtained a degree in Child Care from Front Range Community College. After briefly working as an office manager for a friend’s beauty boutique, she served as a Sunday school teacher, worked in a nursery and nannied professionally until she fully retired in 2017.

From softball to sewing, from cooking to swimming, our Patty did it all. While her body was always active, and she loved hanging out with her husband Henry, she utilized most of her atoms in service to others. Attending church regularly, she lived the life of a true Christian: Always singing, always praising, always hugging, and most importantly, always smiling. Her gifts were most evident in the uncanny way she connected with children, earning a treasured spot in the hearts of all the kids she came into contact with (particularly her nine grandchildren).

Most of all, Patty guarded many of us --- made us feel safe through her steadfast faith. She won’t just be missed, she will be followed as a blueprint on how to live life in God’s grace to its very fullest.

She is survived by her loving husband, Henry Gaona, his three children (Jason, Henry, and Antonia), their spouses and six grandchildren; as well as son Kelvin Wiese, daughter Sandra West, their spouses and three grandchildren; two sisters, Marie McKibben and Dale Cumbie; and two brothers George Fisher and Danny Fisher. Patty is preceded by one brother, Peter Fisher, and both parents.

There will be a burial on Saturday February 3rd at 11 a.m. at Loveland Burial Park.  Also, our Pretty in Pink’s passing requires a big party. For that reason, a celebration of her life will be held on February 25th at 3 p.m. at Me Oh My Coffee and Pie in Laporte Colorado, in honor of what would have been Patty’s 69th birthday.
