October 31, 1949 - April 20, 2021

Charlotte Arnt was born on October 31,1949 in Denver Colorado. Her loving parent’s names were Doris and Charles Arnt. She was the oldest of four siblings. Charlotte grew up in Douglas County with her mom and dad and one brother and two sisters. She was nicknamed the red headed fire of energy. She was continually active in 4H and girl scouts growing up.

She married twice in her life. As an early adult she owned several of business, one of which was a dress shop. She had an opportunity to become a host at a restaurant in Denver called Zang’s. She started out as a hostess to have some income coming in while she was looking for another job after her second divorce. Ended up loving the job and worked her way up to management and stayed for 15 years. That is where she meets the father of her daughter Cathlene. She said she got paid to have fun. She loved bartending, waitressing, hosting, and being a manager. At this job is where she meets many of her close’s friends. She had the opportunity while working there to meet several of famous people from Mike Shannah to John Elway to Scott Hamilton. To the first deaf Bronco player Kenny Walker which had a huge impact on her life since her daughter Cathlene has severe damage in both of her ears and has a hearing loss of her own.

She also, while working at Zang’s, owned her own cleaning business called Charlie will Clean it. She did this for close to 10 years. All while staying active in her daughter’s life as a single parent. Anything her daughter did she was right there along side of her, skinning, hiking, dancing, girl scouts and most importantly school. She had a talent for sewing and just about any kind of crafts, she was very into recycling and making things come back to life. There was nothing she would not do for someone, she loved helping a person in need. It could have been anything from fixing something to giving them clothes, food or shelter. To just plain listening to them if they needed someone to talk to. There was nothing she would not do for someone, she believed in helping your neighbor, your friends, your family and complete strangers. “The universe will pay me back” is what she always said

 She had her daughter later in life at the age of 35, after a whirl wind romance. Her daughter was the center of her life. She raised her on her own. There was nothing he would not do for her. She raised her starting in Denver till she moves herself and her daughter out to Wray in 1999 to help her elderly parents, who had retired out to Heliger Nebraska in the early 90’s. After moving to Wray in 1999 she had several different jobs from a para at the school to a substitute. After while she started working at Wray Supers and worked there for 4 years till, she moved over to Foltmer Drug. Where she greeted many people with a smile and readiness to help anyone.

She resides there for close to 12 years until she retired in 2018. After her daughter got married in 2016, she would have a list of ideas for fixing her house made up for her son in law Bobby Head. She passed away April 20,2021. She leaves behind a daughter and son in law that she loved more than words can say.
