Christian (Chris) Johnson passed away on Friday January 8th, 2021. He was born to parents Cliff & Kathy Johnson in Kansas City Missouri, then spent a short time in Canon City Colorado. He later moved to Loveland in 1976. Chris graduated from Loveland High School in 1978, received a Marketing Degree from Metro State University, and later completed his Master’s Degree in Theology.
Chris is survived by the love of his life Marilyn, daughter Katie Johnson, son Andrew Johnson, mother Kathy Johnson, sister Debra Green, brother Scott Johnson (Jessie), numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chris was a youth pastor in Loveland for 20 years. Spending time with the youth brought him great joy. In 2008, Chris founded a non-profit called Be the Gift, an organization that helps single moms with home repair. He and Marilyn love helping these families in our community.
Chris loved baseball, loved to travel, and most of all loved spending time with his family & friends. He lived life to the fullest, and always made everyone’s day a little brighter.
We are celebrating his amazing life on Saturday January 16th at 10:00am at Message of Life Ministries (605 18th St. SW, Loveland, CO 80537). The family would ask in lieu of flowers that you would make a donation to Be the Gift (PO Box 1285, Loveland, CO, 80539).
Chris was loved by so many and will be greatly missed!
