January 3, 1960 - November 3, 2023

Connie was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on January 3, 1960 and passed away in Loveland on November 3, 2023.

Connie grew up with her parents and 3 siblings in Loveland. She was a flag twirler in the Loveland High School Band and also played the flute and bassoon. Her beautiful singing voice was heard many times in choirs and in productions of, "Sound of Music" and "Brigadoon". Connie was active in Girl Scouts and received their highest award, First Class.

Connie moved to Los Angeles in 1988 to sing in choirs as a lead singer and to work for Bet Tzedek ("House of Justice") Legal Services which promoted social and economic justice for clients by providing free legal services to those with low income. Connie helped many Holocaust survivors obtain reparations by listening to and documenting their stories. She was president of a union of co-workers and helped establish better working conditions. She endured an earthquake that made cracks in her apartment. Her favorite place for a music concert was the Hollywood Bowl, and she enjoyed boat trips to Catalina Island. Connie loved Christmas music and would play her favorites year-round. She also sang in an opera chorus of attorneys and other legal workers.

After Connie received initial treatments for cancer, her father helped her move back to Colorado in 2016 where she purchased, sight unseen, a nice townhome recommended by her realtor sister, Rhonda. The family enjoyed many special times visiting with Connie in her home. Because of her illness, Connie was unable to attend the recent Celebration of Life for her mother, Marilynn. However, Connie spent many hours sharing and creating memories with Marilynn and family during the last 7 years as well as during Marilynn's last months. Her bright spirit and pleasant personality were her trademark during her illness.

Connie enjoyed frequent personal road trips to Rocky Mountain National Park. She was a walking Wikipedia whenever a family member wanted to know something. She was an accomplished seamstress and made many of her own clothes. She received a degree in interior design from Colorado State University which she used to help design the front porch on our home and a deck on the back. She also enjoyed being an Elder on the Session of Mountain View Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and rang handbells with friends for several years.

Connie's mother, Marilynn, predeceased her. She is survived by her father, Morrison, and her brother, Chris and his wife Kornelia, brother Rick, and her sister Rhonda, plus 1 aunt, 1 uncle, 4 cousins and special friends.

Memorial services will be at Mountain View Presbyterian Church at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 17, reception to follow.
