FEBRUARY 20, 1965 – APRIL 26, 2021
Connie Powell passed away at her home on April 26, 2021. She was 56 years old. Connie was born February 20, 1965, in Albany, Missouri. She was the youngest child of Richard and Georgia McConkey. She held many jobs over her life, including bindery assistant at Quebecor, assistant manager at Country General, line cook at the Elk Horn Bar & Café and others. Connie moved from Texas to Northern Colorado in 1988 and enjoyed sharing the beauty of the state with her family.
Connie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was always giving and thoughtful. She enjoyed giving trinkets to her family and friends that she thought they would like, every gift she gave always came with a story of how she thought it could be used! She was an animal lover, always spending time with her dogs Lucy and Ethel.
Proceeding her in death was her father, Richard; and stepfather, James “Paul”. She is survived by her mother, Georgia of Loveland Co.; brothers, William McConkey and Randy (Bobbie) McConkey both of Loveland, Co.; and children, Richard (Montana) McConkey of Loveland, Co., Alice Powell of Greeley, Co., and Christopher (Jynelle) Powell of Bowie, Md.; and grandchild, Serinity.
Connie was loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Graveside service will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10 am at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
