Constance (Connie) Elaine Wahlers passed away from this life to the next on Thursday, March 23rd. She was born to Phyllis & Leonard Gray on Jan. 15, 1928 in Okla. City, OK. Connie graduated from Classen High School in 1946 and attended Okla. A&M college.

On May 22, 1948 she married Edward Wahlers in Okla. City, OK. They lived for 23 years in various towns in Kansas, raising their children in Hutchinson, KS.

They moved to Loveland, CO in 1971, when her husband opened the new ALCO Discount Store. Ed preceded her in death in Nov. 2001. She also had a twin sister, Marge Henley who died Dec. 2010. Ed & Connie spent 30 winters in Mesa, AZ, since 1981.They had many friends, and enjoyed all of the fun activities. She adored the Denver Broncos and never missed watching their games, while hosting others at her home. She will always be remembered as the Broncos best cheerleader!

Connie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for 51 years. She enjoyed her Bible Study Groups, and had many quality Christian friends, who always blessed her.

She also volunteered at Habitat for Humanity “Restore”, She was awarded volunteer of the month. She loved the people and mentioned many times how it was such a positive place. When she wasn’t volunteering at Habitat, she was attending church activities, or you could find her playing bridge. The women's golf club also was one of her enjoyments in life. She loved to dance to Big Band music with Ed.

Connie is preceded by her parents, husband, and twin sister. She is survived by sons, John Wahlers (Terri) of Mesa, AZ & Dale Wahlers, Wichita, KS & daughter, Carol Kimble (Mark) of Loveland. Granddaughter, Angela Chapman (Billy) of Grove, OK. Grandsons, Ben Wahlers (Brittany), of Cheney, KS. David Kimble (Suzanne) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Stephen Kimble of Milliken, CO & John Mark Kimble of Loveland. There are 9 great grandchildren. Her grandchildren are her delight.

Services will be held 1:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 29th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Habitat for Humanity.
