Dorothy Lue Lauridson, 94 years, went home to be with Jesus, her beloved husband Bob and son Bill on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Dorothy Lue Lauridson was born on July 6, 1927 to Harold Charles Upleger and May Florence (McKee) Upleger in Knoxville, IL.  When she was five years old, in July of 1932, she was adopted by William Arthur Keeler and Luella (Glover) Keeler, the postmaster and his wife of North Branch, Michigan.  Following a life-changing move for the family to Arvada, Colorado she attended school and graduated from Arvada High School in 1944.

After graduating, Dorothy worked for Mountain Bell in Denver, Colorado as a telephone operator until her marriage to Robert Myron Lauridson on September 17, 1950 and moved to the Lauridson family farm near Eastlake, Colorado where they lived, worked and raised their family for nearly 50 years.  In 1995 Dorothy and Bob moved to north Longmont, Colorado.  Following Bob's death in 1999, Dorothy worked for Walmart in Longmont for close to 20 years, where she made many dearly-loved friends.  Dorothy was an avid reader, reading any book she could get her hands on.  She also enjoyed traveling, crocheting and cooking and always made batches and batches of her famous peanut brittle every Christmas for all her family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Bob in June of 1999 and her son, William Arthur Lauridson, in July of 2020.  Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Janet Lue Hein (Phillip); her daughter-in-law, Sherry Lynn Lauridson; grandsons Justin Lauridson (Amanda) and Christopher Lauridson; granddaughters Sarah Kuhn (William) and Rebekah Shaw (Travis Fasnacht); great grandchildren Rhiannon Whitfield (Dalton), Taylor Shaw, Sheldon Kuhn, Macey Lauridson, Sydnee Lauridson, Charlotte Mulligan and Viktoria Mulligan; and, great great grandson James Harland Whitfield.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at the Hein family farm this spring or early summer with all who knew and loved her invited to come.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice of Larimer and Weld Counties.
