AUGUST 19, 1918 – JANUARY 30, 2021
Frances Marguerite Green went home to the Lord on January 30, 2021. Frances was born on August 19,1918, in Connecticut to Robert and Gladys (Pulver) Weigold. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Clark Green, her brother Robert Weigold Jr, sisters, Evelyn Crane and Dorothy Hoffman.
During her 102 Years Frances resided in Connecticut, Florida, Tennessee and Colorado. She was a member of the American Legion Post 163 in TN and Post 1985 in Firestone. While living in TN she was a member of the VFW Post 5025 and Woodman of the World Lodge 900.
Even in her 100's Frances was an avid pinochle player and loved a competitive game of dominos. Her family lovingly called her a "social butterfly". During her life she was always surrounded by family and friends. Her love for life was contagious to all who met her.
She is survived by her son Raymond (Cathy) Green of KY, daughters Cheryl Sears of Firestone and Janis McCord of FL; Grandchildren, Brian (Paula) Sears of WA, Robert Sears of Firestone, Craig (Teri) Sears of AZ, Eric (Amber) Green of PA, Melissa (Erich) Engel of PA, Jesse (Ikuko) Green of KY, Sean Howard of FL, Dustin (Ginnette) Howard of SC, nephews Robert (Rosemary) Adam of CA, Gregory (Maureen) Weigold of SC, niece Betty Maygar of CT, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Frances will be reunited with her husband in Ft Logan National Cemetery in the spring. No service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Tru Community Care, 2594 Trailridge Dr E., Lafayette, CO 80026
