Georgia Pauline (Moulton) McFadden was born on October 1st, 1931, her parent’s 17th anniversary. She was the baby of 10, including 3 half siblings. She was born in Beardstown IL to Albert and Laura (Diebold) Moulton. She grew up on a farm, helping with whatever her dad needed. Because of her partial deafness she dropped out of school after the 8th grade and went to work in a glove factory as soon as she was old enough.

On June 17, 1949 she met the love of her life, Rex (Mac) McFadden. June 17, 1951 found them at the alter reciting their vows. They moved to Hugo, OK in early 1952 where their daughter was born. Soon after, they moved back to the quad city area of IL. In 1967 they moved to Loveland until Mac’s retirement in 1990 when they moved to Monte Vista for 22 years, then returned to Loveland in 2012.

She and Rex gave their hearts to God in the late 50’s and endeavored to serve Him in many ways including teaching children’s Sunday School.

Georgia spent much of her life as a homemaker. She practically always had a garden and canned the fruits of her labor. She also had many flower gardens she and Mac spent a lot of time planning and planting. They also took many trips throughout the west, exploring back roads, ghost towns, mines and fishing. They hiked many hundreds of miles and both were avid wildlife enthusiasts.

Her health started failing after a severe auto accident in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 2019, parents and in-laws, all siblings and 2 sons-in-law.

Georgia died peacefully and quickly with her daughter by her side on December 29th, 2021.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresia Jensen Cline, many “spare” kids and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service, Wednesday, 1:00 p.m., Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.  Interment is at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.
