After 104 trips around the sun, Lillian Wheatley has left us for a better place. She passed away peacefully in Windsor, Colorado on Monday, September 11, 2023.

Lillian was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. May she now be free, happy, and at peace.

Lillian was born September 5, 1919 in Springfield, Colorado and grew up in Hot Sulphur Springs. She married George Wheatley on September 28, 1939 in Idaho Springs and together they had three daughters. The family moved from Troublesome Valley to Fort Collins and eventually to Windsor. She attended beauty school and worked as a beautician and hairdresser. Lillian was also an artist and enjoyed painting and gardening and was active in her church. She loved her family.

Lillian is survived by her daughters, Zee Sala, Roma Novakovich, and Roxanne Zahller; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George, parents, Ruth and Dallas Cox, and by her brother and sister.

A Graveside Service will be held for Lillian on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.
