Linda Lou Ross passed away on May 25, 2023. She was born in Burlington, IA on October 14, 1940 to Woodrow Wilson “Hack” Thomas and Loretta Blanche Thomas. She graduated from Burlington High School and worked at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant before relocating to Colorado in 1966. She married Kenneth D. Ross in 1968 and then became a stay at home wife and mother.
Mom cherished her family and friends, loved horseback riding in her younger years, had a deep appreciation for photography and was an avid reader and follower of God.
She is survived by her children Alice (Jim) Emerson of Worland, WY and J.R. Ross of the family home on Sugarloaf, one brother David (Ruthann) Thomas of South Carolina, sister in law Marie Thomas of Oregon three grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ken, son David, sister Pat Norman of IL and brother Joseph of OR.
No funeral services are planned but a celebration of her life will be held later this year.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Denver, a charity that Mom heartily supported for many years.
