A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident Lola Irene Sperra will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Paul Floyd of the High Plains Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Colorado.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-4:00pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Lola was born on January 12, 1931 in Holly, Colorado to Lyle Dow Bingham and Lula Mae (Killingsworth) Bingham and passed away on September 14, 2023 at home with family by her side at the age of 92.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester Sperra, daughter Mollie Sperra, brother Harvey E. Bingham, and brother in laws Leroy and Edward Sperra.
Lola is survived by her children Marlin (Karen) Sperra of Wiley, CO, Martha Wade of Lamar, CO, Nancy Barker of Lamar, CO, and Cynthia Sperra of Colorado Springs, CO. Lola is also survived by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
