Maria Rosabell “Rosa” Gallegos Miller, reunited with her son Roger and guardian angel Ron in heaven first thing in the morning on Monday, March 20th.

Rosa was born in Alamosa, Colorado on November 7th, 1945 and raised on the family “hacienda” in Lasauses, Colorado. Proud of her family and heritage, Rosie felt blessed having a loving Mother, Carmen, Father Manual, and her six siblings. JP, Ike, Eddy, Desi, Patricia and Jackie. Rosa was fortunate to start her life journey when she met Ron Miller in Denver. Together they raised three children and built their first house. Early days were happy times settling in their newly built house.

Planting fruit and poplar trees. Landscaping, planting flowers and picking out wallpaper for each room. Her talent for sewing showed in curtains and clothes she made for her family. Memories of many hours going to Cloth. World reading pattern books and picking out fabric. As a young mom she enjoyed canning pickles, crabapple and cherry jam. A good cook, she made the best Pozole, cheese soup, and beef stroganoff. She enjoyed baking and cooking while listening to her favorite records.

Christmas music was on replay when teaching her kids how to bake and decorate biscochitos, empanadas and divinity. Rosa will be remembered by friends and family attending family gatherings, socializing, and going to church. Rest assured Rosa is at her long awaited family reunion revisiting the best of days with brothers Ike, JP, Eddy, Father Manuel, Mother Carmen with Rog and Ron by her side. Memorial Contributions can please be made on behalf of the family in c/o of Love Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 188, Limon, CO 80828.
