AUGUST 27, 1930 – APRIL 2, 2021
Marjorie Eileen Matthews passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 90. Marjorie had been a resident at New Mercer Commons for the past three years.
Marjorie was born in Fort Collins in 1930, moved to Sacramento, California when she was 9 with her parents, Elmer and Grave Newton and brother, Warren Newton. She loved Fort Collins, and returned back to her home town at the age of 20.
She met and married the love of her life Charlie Matthews in 1954, who has preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Irene Renz and her husband Larry Renz; grandson, John Renz and his family; granddaughter, Danilyn Renz; and three great-grandsons.
Marjorie was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be missed by all that knew her.
