December 25, 1921 - December 29, 2021

Marjorie Marie Kennedy, daughter of Samuel & Martha Millstead, was born on December 25, 1921 in Merino, CO and passed away on December 29, 2021.  She was 100 years old.

She attended Merino schools.  On August 9th, 1937 she was married to Herman Schrader.  They farmed until 1966 when they moved to Loveland, CO.  He preceded her in death in 1977.  She worked for nursing homes, Samsonite, real estate companies and other various jobs over the years.  In 1982 she was married to Dwight Kennedy of Byers, CO.  They retired in Loveland in 1985.

He preceded her in death in 2012.  She is survived by her daughters Betty Donnelly, Ann Haffner (Ron), Katherine Knight (Frank), her son Robert Schrader, her sister Joann Brown (Twin Falls, ID), 12 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 64 great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, her son Jack Schrader, 3 brothers, 6 sisters, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is right, Horse Racing and Boxing.  She never missed watching the Colorado Rockies.  She loved to visit, drink coffee and eat cookies…and always had stories to tell.  She also liked to share jokes she’d find in one of her many newspaper subscriptions.  She was proud of the fact that she was able to live alone and take care of herself for 99 1/2 years and she counted the days until her 100th birthday.  On Christmas day 2021, just 4 days before her passing…we celebrated that “100 years old” milestone with her.
