On Tuesday, October 12th 2021, Mark Frederick Berger, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly at age 71.

Mark was born on October 21st 1949 in San Jose, CA to Robert F. and Jean McCarthy Berger. He moved with his family to Loveland Colorado in 1965. Mark attended Loveland High School, where he was active in baseball, football, and lettered in track and field. He graduated in the class of 1967 and was an active member of the alumni association. He attended Colorado State University where he studied History. Mark’s career of thirty years at Hewlett-Packard was one of his greatest enjoyments in life. After retiring from Hewlett-Packard, Mark began working for Airdex as Vice President of Global Logistics and was a foundational and dedicated member of their team.

Mark was married to Marjorie Parks Berger for 21 years and together they raised two daughters, Christine Greene and Alicia Aringdale. He was later married to Constance Newth Berger for 15 years.

Mark was a passionate outdoorsman who loved hiking, fishing, and camping. He always made time to appreciate all the natural beauty Colorado had to offer and shared that love with his children and grandchildren. Mark also traveled widely around the United States and Europe. Some of his favorite places were Arizona, California, England, Germany, Italy, Ireland, and Slovenia. Mark was a dyed in the wool sports fan who always rooted for the Broncos, Rockies, and the CU Buffs. Mark also participated in rec league softball, and was a frequent golfer. He was also an avid cyclist who loved to ride on the many bike paths around Loveland.

Mark was a master storyteller known for his wild tales and his infectious laugh. He had the ability to transport a whole room along with him on his adventures, a trait that earned him many lifelong friends. As the oldest of seven siblings, Mark took his responsibilities to others very seriously and he could always be counted on to come through for his family and friends. Mark’s family, friends, and coworkers will always remember him for his kind spirit.
