November 05, 1924 - July 11, 2021

Mona M. Steiner went to be with the Lord July 11, 2021 at the age of 96. Over the past two weeks she was able to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She knew she was loved and so did they.

Mona Snow was born in a sod house on the prairies of Eastern Colorado. She graduated from high school in Kit Carson, Colorado, where she met her husband, Lawrence Steiner. Mona was a homemaker and raised their son, Paul, and daughters, Janeen and Terri, beginning in Haxtun, Colorado. In 1962 the family moved to Loveland where Terri could attend a school for the developmentally disabled. In Loveland they had another daughter, Robin. Mona loved her family and was alway ready and willing to help with whatever they needed. Mona faithfully cared for Lawrence throughout his extended battle with heart disease until he passed away in 1994.

Mona loved to play the piano by ear and used her gift to bless her family and friends throughout her life. Mona played hymns for Devotions with Frieda Probasco for more than five years. She played for sing-a-longs for her friends in assisted living until early 2020.

Mona was always quick with a smile, a hug, and a word of encouragement. She loved Jesus and has been waiting to see him for a long time. A few years ago she told her daughter, “When I’m gone be happy for me. You will be sad for you but be happy for me.” She will be missed.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Una Snow, her husband Lawrence Steiner, her daughter Terri Steiner, and her son Paul Steiner.

Mona is survived by her son Paul’s family: Daughter-in-law Sharon Steiner, Grandson Chris (Christine) Steiner, Riley and Carson, Grandson Jeff (Sarah) Steiner, Kenzie and Nathan, Daughter Janeen (Ed) Barrett, Grandson Michael (Nancy) Todd, Austin and Kendal, Granddaughter Melynda (Brian) Collins, Jace and Zack, Granddaughter Kim (Chris) Hess, Addie, Grandson Bob (Robin) Barrett, Evan, Hayley, and Cole, Daughter Robin Westcott, Grandson Sam Chambers (Amber Kujaczynski), Granddaughter Bailey Bonilla, and Namesake Mona Chambers.
