Nancy W Dickinson, age 80, passed away on June 30th, 2021 in her home in Boulder, CO.

Nancy was born on October 5, 1940 in Salem, New Jersey to Thomas Aylmer Wood and Elizabeth (Betty) Munyon Wood. She graduated from Salem High School in 1958 and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. After receiving her AA Degree from Goldey-Beacom School of Business in Wilmington, DE, she enjoyed a career as a secretary with the DuPont Company together with other companies, retiring from Valleylab in Boulder, CO as a Executive Assistant to the President in 2005.

Nancy married Philip Dorsey in Claymont, DE in 1961. She welcomed three beautiful children to the world and moved to Boulder, CO in 1975. Nancy married John H. Harrison in Boulder, 1983. Nearly 10 years after his death, she married Arthur L. Dickinson in October 2000.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Tom Wood, 3 children, Philip T Dorsey, Julia A. Dorsey, Jane Marcella D. Baldwin (John), 4 grandchildren, Meagan Belford (Michael), Casey McCormack, Kaitlyn Krueger, and Joshua Krueger, 2 great grandchildren Jack Belford and Maeve Krueger.

A devout Catholic, Nancy spent much of her time at Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Boulder, CO. Nancy made true friendships through the connections of the church and touched many lives with her uplifting spirit, generosity and kind heart. Her perfect day would be attending Mass and joining her fellow church friends for lunch at her favorite restaurants around Boulder, notably the mussels at Mateo.

Traveling was one of Nancy’s favorite hobbies—she visited South Africa, Croatia, Iceland as well as many European countries, always noting her true love for the country of Italy. She spent much of her time traveling the coast of Italy, wine tasting and trying the various foods—always noting how delicious Italian food tasted. She enjoyed reading books, had a green thumb and loved picking out flowers each Spring (a trait she handed down to her first grandchild, Casey), and spending time with her family who never lived more than 5 miles from her home.

She will be remembered as gracious, remarkable, truly one of a kind woman. She was strong willed, giving and ever so sweet. One of her greatest gifts in the past year was the welcoming of her great grandson, Jack. She was able to attend his birth and watch him take his first breath. She was so proud to have been a great grandmother. She will be greatly missed and always adored.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 7th at the Sacred Heart of Mary Church at 6739 S Boulder Rd, Boulder, CO 80303. Visitation starts at 9:30am followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 and Mass at 11:00am. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 6739 S Boulder Rd, #101, Boulder, CO 80303, sacredheartofmary.org/giving.
