 Patricia Joanne (Patti) Estergard, 80, peacefully joined her loving husband Richard of 57 years, on Saturday, March 25, 2023.  Patti was born on April 22, 1942 in Decatur, Illinois to Martin J. and Dorothy L. Cooney. 

At an early age, the family moved to El Cerrito, California where she grew up and graduated from El Cerrito High School.  She then attended Chico State University, Chico, California.

She met Richard L. Estergard, in California and they married February 14th, 1965.  The young family moved to Loveland, Colorado where they raised their 3 children; Kristin, Diana, and Michael. 

She worked at Loveland Memorial Hospital in the admissions department and later as a Medical Assistant and Office manager for 2 different physician offices in Loveland, her last 22 years with Drs. Nemeth and Phillips.  She was always the smiling face at the desk.

She was an active member of many organizations throughout her life.  She was part of Girl Scouting for over 25 years and later was active with Boy Scouting with her son Mike.  She was a member of Happy Hatters Red Hat Society, St. Lucy’s Sewing Group, St. John’s CCW, McKee Medical Center. Family meant everything to Patti and her favorite times were spent with her children and 9 grandchildren.  Family vacations, camping, ceramic painting, and holidays were her favorites.

Patti is survived by her daughter Kristin (Rod) Garman of Topeka, KS, daughter Diana (Scott) Korinek of Cairo, NE, son Michael (Amy) Estergard of Loveland; 4 grandsons: Kellen, Cooper, Janson, and Elliot, and 5 granddaughters, Brynn, Finley, Lucy, Madeline, and Bridget,  sisters Nancy and Marti Cooney of Alameda, CA, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband Richard, her parents, in-laws, brother-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law.

Funeral mass to be celebrated Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11am with Rosary preceding at 10am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Loveland, CO.

Interment, Resthaven Memory Gardens, Fort Collins, CO.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lucy’s Sewing Group or St. John’s CCW in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home.
