March 02, 1929 - December 04, 2020

Rev. Lynn Wickstrom, beloved husband, brother, uncle, minister, entertainer, and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 4, 2020 at Medical Center of the Rockies after a brief illness with Covid.

Lynn was born March 2, 1929 in Auburn CA to Arthur and Genevieve Wickstrom. He is survived by his wife Becky of 63 years, sisters Annette Sleinle of California and Julia Sherlock of Washington and one brother-in-law. Siblings who preceded him in death were sisters Juanita Wertz, Dorothy McNutt, and brother John Wickstrom. Also, many nieces and nephews who dearly love their Uncle Lynn.

He attended schools in Auburn, CA and Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, CA, where he received a BA degree in ministry.

Lynn served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War, carrying live ammunition to the front lines. Due to the loud noises his hearing was greatly affected.

Lynn married his wife “Becky” (Ellen Becker) on October 5, 1957 in Loveland, CO.
Their ministry took them to all 50 states and 41 countries over the span of 38 years. They always worked together in ministry and were only apart 7 days in all of those years. They are both ordained ministers with the Assemblies of God.

They served as Associate Pastors in Oregon, Associate Pastors in California, Pastors in Montrose, Colorado, and Children’s Pastors in Loveland, Colorado.

Together they conducted Adult Evangelism services, were guest speakers at conferences, seminars, training courses, did school assemblies, as well as guest speakers at Kid’s Camps. They also did television Children’s Programs.

Their main ministry was with children world-wide, working on military bases in 41 countries for 38 years with all branches of US Services. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. These were through the Chaplaincy Department, under Wickstrom International Kids Krusades, Inc.

Lynn was gifted in so many fields, playing the harmonica, singing, and preaching memorable sermons. He was also a self-taught ventriloquist, self-taught puppeteer, and did Gospel magic with a live bunny. He designed and built all customs cases for the stage supplies and props for the programs.

Lynn was loved by everyone who knew him. He never had an enemy. His personality was kindness, thoughtfulness, patience, never complaining, and lived 24/7 “in honor preferring one another”.

He loved poetry and would quote it by the hour. He was dedicated to everything he undertook. He always respected others, and never said a negative thing about anyone. His very special, unusual gift of humor was used in sermons as well as the Kids Krusades catching people off-guard. He made a real impact on so many people, and will be greatly missed.

A summary of Lynn’s life: A LIFE WELL-LIVED!

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Dec 17, 2020 at Timberline Church 2908 S. Timberline Rd. Fort Collins, CO
