Robert H. Henderson, 99, died January 3, 2023. He was born in Akron, Ohio on January 4, 1923 to Allan and Bobye Ruth Henderson.
He received his BS degree from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and his MS degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. A veteran of WWII, he was commissioned in the Army Reserves in 1949 and remained active with the reserves until his retirement as a Colonel, in 1980.
He held several positions in the field of Food Science and Technology. He was Director of Quality Assurance for Swift Processed Company. When the different independent companies were folded into Swift & Company, he was made Manager of Technical Services for Swift & Company. He retired in 1982 and moved to Loveland, Colorado.
He was a member of Mountain View Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon and as an Elder of the church.
Mary, his wife of 70 years, died in October 0f 2019, as did his only daughter, Susan K. Henderson, who died December 2, 2022.
