March 26, 1943 ~ May 9, 2021 (age 78)

Robert Christo Rocha, 78, died peacefully at his home in Longmont, CO, on May 9, where he had lived since 2013. Born and raised in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Manuel C. Rocha, and Elsie (Soares) Rocha. He graduated from De La Salle Academy and served his country in the US Army, where he was stationed in both South Korea and Vietnam.

Known as Bob, or Bobby, to his friends, along with a couple of business ventures, he was employed by Congdon and Carpenter for nearly 20 years. He served as Recording Secretary for USW Local 5204 during much of this time at C&C and was deeply involved in contract negotiations. He was known for his sharp wit, love of reading, Jeopardy!, spicy food, fishing, appreciation of a well-crafted beer, and needling Broncos fans while living in CO.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce C. White, of Wellington, OH and her husband, Timothy, son, Robert C. Rocha, Jr., of Acushnet, MA and his wife, Kristen Leotti, daughter, Melissa M. Pichette, of Longmont, CO, and her husband, Joseph, daughter, Amy E. Brickey, and her husband, Brian, of Denver, CO, grandchildren Emma E. Rocha, Aaron J. Pichette, Rachael E. Pichette, and nieces Margot Y. Fontaine and Brigitte M. Fontaine.

His request was to be cremated and then celebrated by friends and family through a celebration of life in a way that is informal, fun, and unifying. Events in both CO and MA will happen in the coming months. Friends and family will be contacted. We know where to find you.
