Roger J. Kuehn of Longmont, Colorado died April 5th, 2021 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 83. Roger was born on May 6th, 1937 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He grew up in Eau Claire with his mom, Myrtle Swanson, and his two older brothers Jerry and Dick. As a child, he enjoyed spending time with his aunt Clara and uncle Eddie and their dog Elmer. Roger graduated from Eau Claire High School and he later attended the University of Wisconsin Stout.

Roger married the love of his life, Gerri on May 2, 1959 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Roger was drafted and served three years including staging in Germany for the Korean War, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. Gerri was able to join him in Germany for over a year and they had fond memories of their time together exploring Germany. Upon his honorable discharge from the army, he returned to his home in Wisconsin and worked several jobs including a butcher and a bread delivery man. He found his calling as an electronic technician and moved his family to Bloomington, Minnesota in 1969. He retired after 30 years from the Control Data Corporation.

Roger was a faithful Christian who was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Longmont. Roger was an avid fisherman and loved playing rounds of golf with his wife. He even built his own TV from scratch and built it right into the wall before it was cool! In his later years, he developed a stoic face and a twinkling eye while playing cards with his friends. He kept you on your toes with his sense of humor and was always game to go exploring or for a fun ride. Preceded in death his cherished wife Gerri and his mother Myrtle. Survived by his son Steve Kuehn and his wife Wendy of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Daughter Jodie Fenix of Longmont, Colorado. Granddaughter Tia Alvarez of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and great grandson Dominic Alvarez. Brothers, Jerry Kuehn of Baxter, Minnesota and Richard Kuehn of Mahtomedi, Minnesota.

A celebration of life will be held at 600 Coffman Street, 3rd floor on Saturday April 10th from 1pm-4pm.
